Well, after unpicking those 6 blocks, turning the offending part around and restitching, I've finished all the blocks.
Here's the quilt- it's very green!
At the moment, it's only blocks laid out on the floor. Sewing is next.

As you were piecing it I thought it was going to be more a red a and navy quilt, not green! Still looks good though.
ReplyDeleteI was ripping out as I made mine, but lo and behold, I still had to fix 6 mistakes after the top was put together! I feel for you, but we both know we will be happier with the finish. Yippee for you to be so far along!

Your colour choices are really nice, fun seeing all the variations . nice work!
ReplyDeletelove all that green...and on the road to being done. Quilt On!!
ReplyDeleteOh my! It's wonderful... and SO many little pieces! I hope it was a big stash-buster for you. How could it not be?!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt looks lovely. I think many of us have had to rip out.... I'm not a hugely experienced quilter and though Bonnie's directions were excellent, I still found myself having to be extra careful. You'd think those little mistakes wouldn't be so obvious in a quilt with so many pieces.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm liking your version...I like the green....
ReplyDeleteSo many pieces I think it's easy to get a component around the wrong way, I've found a couple so far. Better now than when it's quilted! Looking good.
ReplyDeleteI had a couple flying geese going the wrong way that i had to rip out and redo..I think your eyes just get tired after awhile, and it all looks the same,,Good Job and such fun to share with everyone.
